An Atlantis submarine ride is an eye-opening experience that takes you well beyond the classroom as you learn about coral, reef life and submersibles.
Your adventure begins a transfer from the ship to Waikiki's Hilton Hawaiian Village, where you will be escorted to the Atlantis pier. Board the Atlantis transfer vessel for a short boat ride with scenic views of Waikiki and Diamond Head.
At the Atlantis dive site, climb aboard an Atlantis high-tech passenger submarine. Being in a submarine and descending to 100 feet underwater is an adventure in itself. With a spacious air-conditioned interior, large view ports and comfortable seating, the submarine allows you access to Hawaii's sea life -- a "must-do" for anyone that hasn't been to the bottom of the sea before.
Sunken shipwrecks, an airplane and other artificial reefs are on the route, and the friendly crew will share their love of the ocean with you. Marine life you will see up close will likely include Hawaiian fish, coral, rays, and turtles.
Enjoy two and a half hours of free time in the Waikiki area to explore on your own, shop or hit the beach before reboarding your combined transfer back to the ship.
Notes:
Minimum height is 36". Participants must be able to safely navigate a nearly vertical, 12-step ladder into and out of the submarine. The transportation is shared with guests booked on Wakiki On Your Own.
