The municipalities of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar are currently carrying out infrastructure improvements following recent storms, including maintenance to stormwater systems, streets, and public areas. As part of this work, enhancements are underway at Plaza Sotomayor to improve the condition of the plaza and surrounding streets. The plaza remains open to visitors, and all planned visits and photo stops will continue. Depending on the stage of the project, some views may be partially affected by construction equipment or temporary work areas, but every effort will be made to provide the best possible experience during your visit. Lookout Visit: If the roads to get to the lookout are not ready, it will be changed for Bismark Square. We might also encounter heavy traffic on the road from Valparaiso to Viña del Mar.
