Transfer to Hamrikyu Garden, designated a Special Historic Site. It is a typical daimyo garden from the Edo Period with a tidal pond and ducks. Seawater is introduced, and the pond’s appearance changes with the ebb and flow of the tide.
Enter Sensoji Temple through the Nitenmon or Kaminarimon Gate, bedecked with a huge red paper lantern. View the Kannon shrine here, which legend holds dates back to AD 628.
Use your free time to stroll down Nakamise-dori (the Street of Inside Shops). This alley is lined with traditional vendors selling snacks, souvenirs and handmade crafts. Purchase a snack (at your own expense) before rejoining the coach for a transfer to Haneda Airport.
Notes:
This tour is available only to guests whose cruise ends in Tokyo, with flights departing Haneda Airport after 6pm. Depending on road conditions, the time spent in each location may vary. Participants cannot stay on the bus at Asakusa. Participants may not be able to remain on the coach at each of the visited sites.
