Set out on a scenic coastal cruise by RIB (rigid inflatable boat) on your way to a famous reef-snorkel location, with a PADI-certified guide on hand to explain everything.
Perched on the edge of a submerged volcano, Champagne Reef is Dominica's number-one snorkeling hotspot and ranks among the top five snorkel spots in the Caribbean. More than just a coral reef, this one takes its name from the underwater geothermal springs that vent gasses in the form of thousands of warm bubbles. It makes you feel as if you're swimming through a giant glass of sparkling wine. The reef is quite spectacular -- expect to see a myriad of sea life, including sponges, lobster, parrotfish and perhaps even a resident population of hawksbill turtles.
Next, head to the southern tip of the island for some time to swim in the warm Caribbean waters. Enjoy a rum punch before a thrilling high-speed RIB ride back to shore, passing the stunning coastal scenery of Dominica's coastline.
Notes:
Minimum age is 12 years.
