Start with a short walk to Jaco Falls on a well-maintained path -- perfect for those who don't want to do any heavy hiking. Take a swim in the waterfall pool in pristine and beautiful surroundings.
Continue to Mero Beach, driving through the beautiful Layou Valley en route. The color of the sand is black, which is a sign of the island's volcanic origin. Here, you can relax on a sun chair with a book, catch some rays, or take a refreshing swim.
