As you travel on this panoramic coach tour, your guide will point out the highlights of A Coruña.
A short distance from the pier, you will pass the Gardens of Los Cantones, built on reclaimed land.
Watch for the galleries -- houses whose windows reflect sunlight and whose façades were built by fishermen out of wood and glass.
Pass the Castle of San Anton and stop at the Tower of Hercules lighthouse built by the Romans. The latter is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
You will have time to walk around the monument and the park. Continue along the promenade, past the Aquarium of A Coruña, the Museum of Mankind and the millennium obelisk made of glass.
From Mount San Pedro you will view the ocean, the Tower of Hercules and the city, and see the cannons with a range of 15 miles.
Visit Maria Pita Square, named for the clever and courageous woman who defeated Sir Francis Drake; then, return to the ship with your guide.
Guests who wish to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so, but must return to the ship on their own.
