Begin your tour with a drive along A Coruña's promenade and coastline. Nearby is the castle of San Anton, built as a fort but now an archaeological museum.
You'll stop at the Tower of Hercules -- a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by the Romans and the only lighthouse in the world of its kind that is still operating.
Drive to the city of Betanzos -- a relic of the Old Galician Kingdom declared a historical and artistic monument in 1970. Walk through its narrow streets and visit the Gothic 14th-century Church of San Francisco.
You'll leave Betanzos via the old road and follow the estuary's shoreline. Enjoy tapas and wine while relaxing at a local establishment with ocean views.
