Day 1 (D)
Upon disembarkation in Durban, a local English-speaking tour guide will meet you for your transfer to Durban’s King Shaka International Airport. From there, you’ll fly to Johannesburg.
Upon landing at Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport, a meet and greet service will assist you planeside, help collect your luggage, and guide you to your awaiting transfer. You’ll then be transferred to Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa, where you’ll spend the night. After checking in and freshening up, join fellow travelers in the main restaurant for a delicious dinner.

Day 2 (B,L,D)
A local English-speaking representative will meet you for your transfer to OR Tambo International Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, airport assistance will accompany you through security until boarding.
Next, check in and board your flight to Victoria Falls (SA Airlink or similar). On arrival in Victoria Falls, a local representative will meet you planeside and assist you through customs, immigrations, and luggage collection. You’ll then be transferred to The Palm River Hotel, where you’ll spend the night.
The Palm River Hotel offers unparalleled luxury accommodation along the banks of the iconic Zambezi River. Situated among towering indigenous trees, it’s only 4 kilometers from Africa’s Natural World Wonder, Victoria Falls. In fact, on a clear, quiet day, you can hear the thunder and see the spray of the mighty waterfall from your room.
Later this afternoon, embark on a short transfer to the Zambezi River jetty and experience an unforgettable 2-hour Sunset Cruise. Sip drinks, savor snacks, and gaze at birdlife while keeping watch for glimpses of hippos, crocodiles, or even elephants.

Day 3 (B,L,D)
Start your day with an early leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, complete check-out formalities.
You’ll be met by a representative in the lobby for your transfer to Kasane. Along the way, stop at Victoria Falls for a guided tour of the Falls (Zimbabwean side), offering magnificent views and photo opportunities of the mighty Falls.
Continue your drive to Kasane, Botswana. Clear customs and immigration, and then proceed to Chobe Chilwero Lodge for your safari adventure. A snack pack will be provided for the transfer.
Chobe Chilwero Lodge is aptly named for its panoramic views over the Chobe River, islands, and floodplain. Deep in the heart of the Botswana wilderness, it’s an enchanting safari sanctuary with gorgeous vistas and abundant wildlife. Expect creature comforts like elegantly appointed accommodation, silver service, and gourmet meals.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy lunch followed by check-in formalities. Spend the afternoon at leisure, followed by afternoon tea and your choice of an afternoon safari experience (game drive or boat safari).
Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in the luxurious suites.

Day 4 (B,L,D)
Early morning wake-up call followed by a cup of steaming coffee/tea prior to embarking on a morning game drive. Return from your morning safari and enjoy breakfast.
Spend the remainder of the morning in the privacy of your own suite, viewing the game from your private veranda or make use of the facilities at the lodge. Lunch is served in the main dining area.
Spend the remainder of the afternoon at your own leisure until High Tea is served. After High Tea, depart on a sundowner game activity.
On arrival back at the lodge you will have some time to freshen up before dinner is served.

Day 5 (B)
Start your day with a very early wake-up call. Breakfast is served before setting off for an early morning game drive with your guide. Upon return, gather your belongings and complete check-out formalities. Next, transfer to the airport to check in and board your flight to Cape Town via Johannesburg. Arrive at OR Tambo Airport, where you’ll be met and assisted with your connecting flight to Cape Town. Upon arrival in Cape Town, a local representative will meet you and transfer you to the harbor, where you’ll join the ship for your onward journey.
Cancellation Policy:
90 Days prior to arrival in the excursion port. This excursion is non-refundable within 90 days of arrival into the excursion port. Any cancellations made after this deadline will be subject to full payment of the tour. This will include if a guest cancels their voyage within 90 days of arrival into the excursion port.
Notes:
The contents and order of activities in this program are subject to change by the lodge management without prior notice due to the prevailing weather conditions and wildlife movement on the reserve. Early morning game drives in open vehicles can be a little cool -- bring a windbreaker. During the day, temperatures can be extremely hot. The game drive vehicle may not be covered. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Ride will be bumpy. Guests with back or neck conditions are not allowed to participate. Not advisable for guests with mobility limitations. Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Participants are not permitted to use cell phones during the game drives or to speak loudly or stand up in the game drive vehicle, as this will disturb the animals. Smoking is not permitted. An escort from the ship's staff may or may not also accompany the group. You must book this overland PRIOR to sailing. Tour operates subject to meeting a minimum number of participants. Airport assistance and transfers, transportation by air-conditioned coach, all entrance fees indicated in the itinerary, an English-speaking guide (unless otherwise noted), water on the vehicle, and meals (as indicated) are also included. Gratuities and personal expenses are not included. Bring your passport with you on tour. South Africa requires two blank passport pages per entry. Kruger is a malaria risk area; see your physician well in advance of travel for appropriate prophylaxis medication.
Luggage:
Maximum baggage allowance is one soft-sided bag up to 44 lbs per person. Hotels and Lodges are able to launder clothes, but this will be at an additional cost and is not included in the cost of this program.

Breathing devices:
There are stringent regulations regarding the transportation of breathing/respiratory devices for any purpose during tours or overland trips. Guests intending to bring such a device must notify the home office or shore excursion staff at least 30 days before the start of the tour. They are required to fill out the necessary FAA documentation, furnish a physician's authorized letter detailing the device's particular use, and provide information about the device. It is imperative to understand that each airline will conduct an inspection of the device before boarding to ensure compliance, which may result in delays at the airport.
