Set out with a small group (maximum 10 privileged guests) and escape into the Atlas foothills for a trek among the rugged landscape of arid mountains, ochre rocks, and lush palm and banana groves.
Travel the Paradise Valley Road by 4x4-vehicle panoramic drive through the neighborhood of Iligh, in the district of Tazeroualt. From there, it's on through the palm groves and gorges of the river Tamrhakht and up into the mountains towards Imouzzer. The varying landscape, which is ever-changing, highlights local traditional houses set among argan trees and a backdrop of the Atlas Mountains.
Passing through the village of Al-Ma, your destination is the village of Aquesri, from where your two-hour hike begins.
Follow your guide on foot into the valley, admiring the local flora and fauna. At the nearby botanic garden, discover plants used for artisanal extraction of essential oils. The argan tree is well adapted to this semi-desert environment.
Refreshments are served at the Aromatic Garden, including a taste of Moroccan bread, honey and olive oil, with Moroccan tea.
On your return journey, you'll pass through some small towns as you head back to the port.
