During Operation Archery, Allied forces attacked the German unit at Måløy on Christmas day of 1941. The Måløy Raid Museum depicts the story of Operation Archery, using a combination of interpretive materials and audio guidance to ensure visitors have the best experience of the museum and its exhibits. Located in the center of Måløy, the facility is comprised of three floors, including a bunker built by the Germans. Original pictures from the raid and original film footage tell a vivid story that will intrigue and inform history buffs.
Notes: This tour is conducted entirely on foot. Tour requires around two hours of walking. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, cobblestones, inclines, and steps. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer.
