Paddling a kayak on the fjord provides fantastic opportunities for outdoor and nature encounters. The sea changes constantly but, in your kayak, you remain in harmony with nature, close to everything.
In this coastal area, there are dozens of small islets and reefs that act as a natural breakwater for the raging North Sea just beyond.
Hop into your kayak and set off toward Vågsberget, one of the oldest trading posts in the Nordfjord area. Well is positioned adjacent to the rich fishing grounds of Vågsvåg and Torskangerpollen, this trading post dates back to the 17th century.
Notes: Tandem kayaks are used. Tour requires approximately two hours of paddling. Minimum age is 12 years. Tour operates rain or shine but may be canceled by the operator in the event of extremely bad weather or unsuitable conditions. You may get wet; bring a change of clothing and footwear with you. Prior experience not required; beginners are welcome. Participants must be able to swim. Not suitable for those with a fear of water. The fjord water is very cold. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf.
