A ferry crossing and a scenic panoramic drive rom Måløy bring you to Florø. Along the way, you'll pass Hornelen Cliff, said to be the highest in Europe, towering 2,822 feet above the sea.
In Florø, tour the Coastal Museum, established in 1980. This facility is constantly expanding its collection, and its aim is to safeguard the natural and cultural treasures of this region, both past and present. Houses and buildings from around the county have been brought here and contribute to the cultural collections that cover everything from household utensils and furniture to fishing and hunting gear. Many magnificent boats have found their place in the large hall -- a tribute to boatbuilding through the ages. The Snorre platform offers an introduction to the highly technical world of oil platforms and how oil is found and extracted from the North Sea.
Enjoy lunch before continuing to the pier in Florø to reboard the boat and cross to Kinn Island. Here, you'll discover the legendary Kinn Church, built in the 1100s in Romanesque style. It is one of the oldest churches in the country.
Don't miss a view of the nearby massive Kinn Cliff. Follow the path up the cleft of the cliff for spectacular sea and island views.
A scenic boat trip returns to you to Måløy, passing many islands and skerries on the way.
Notes:
The boat is not exclusive to Seabourn guests. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, inclines, gravel, grass, and many steps. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations.
