Enjoy this spectacular full-day experience on a panoramic drive through the fjords to visit the neighboring village of Eidfjord and its surrounding landmarks.
You'll begin with a scenic route to see Sørfjord winding into Hardangerfjord in all its beauty. Pause along the way to capture wonderful photographs. Your guide will explain the local history and the natural features of the fjord.
Upon arrival in Eidfjord, enjoy some free time in the village to wander about and perhaps purchase a souvenir. Eidfjord has only about 1,000 inhabitants; however, it is one of Norway's wealthiest communities due to its production of hydroelectric power.
Next up is the unmissable Vøringsfossen — a waterfall that cascades almost 600 feet into the wild Måbø Valley. Here you'll have time to explore the paths leading through the forest. One has a suspended staircase over the waterfall for those daring enough to walk it.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant before the relaxing journey back to Odda.
Notes:
Various lunch venues may be used on the same date due to limited capacities and may be a buffet or set menu. Tour sequence may vary. Panoramic driving is a primary aspect of the tour, covering approximately 124 miles (200 km) with winding roads and tunnels. Guests prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication.
