The Moster Amphitheatre in Bømlo is a historical jewel, marking the site where Christianity first took root in Norway during the Viking era. Alongside a medieval church and museum, it provides a compelling glimpse into Norway's transition to Christianity, dating back to AD995. Step back in time about a thousand years back when you explore the permanent exhibit here entitled From Paganism to Christianity, simply called "the Viking Exhibition" by many.
The site is anchored by the Moster Old Church -- one of Norway's earliest churches. It features a detailed museum that chronicles the region's history from the Dark Ages to the medieval period, showcasing artifacts and exhibits that narrate a storied tradition of faith.
