On a scenic minibus drive from Leirvik to Heio, relax and take in the beautiful landscapes. At the trailhead, start your ascent and, as you climb, you'll experience a range of landscapes -- from dense forest to open moorland. The views of the fjords, valleys, and mountains are awe-inspiring and perfect for photo stops along the way.
One of the most thrilling parts of this hike is the Sherpa Steps -- a series of well-built stone steps that guide you safely through a steeper section of the trail. Take your time and enjoy the craftsmanship and the spectacular vantage points as you climb.
At the top, take in panoramic views of the Sunnhordland region, the North Sea, and the surrounding peaks of the Stord Mountains. On clear days, the views stretch endlessly, making the effort worthwhile.
