Enjoy a leisurely walk through the historical town of Kalundborg.
Travel by coach to the Town Square, and start your walk from here. Head toward the former Kaalund Monastery and continue to the Højby Old Town district.
The Kaalund Monastery was built in 1751 atop the remains of the old monastery founded in 1239. See houses up to 500 years old and the 12th-century Church of Our Lady. With its five towers, it is one of the most architecturally distinctive churches in the Nordic countries.
Behind the Kalundborg Museum, you will find Vestborgen — ruins of a castle with traces of several buildings and towers.
Walk back east to Praestergade — a street with the Parsonage, one of the oldest remaining residential buildings in Northern Europe.
Continue to the Town Square and the main shopping street. Climb the Mollebakken Stairs, installed in 1931, for an excellent view of the port and the old houses of Kalundborg.
The tour ends in town. Return to the ship via the shuttle bus service at your leisure.
