Explore the historic port city of Gdansk, known as the place where World War II began. You'll take a short walk through Westerplatte — the symbolic site of the war's outbreak, and learn about its significance during the early days of the conflict.
In Gdansk's Old Town, admire architectural highlights such as the Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque Town Hall, the famous Neptune's Fountain, and the scenic canal waterfront.
You'll also visit the modern World War II Museum, opened in 2017. Its powerful permanent exhibitions cover The Road to War, Horrors of War, and The Long Shadow of War, offering a moving and informative insight through films, photographs, and personal artifacts.
A two-course lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
Notes:
Participants will walk approximately 10 minutes from the parking area to Gdansk Old Town. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Audio headsets (provided) will enhance your tour experience.
