Enjoy a scenic drive around the Bodrum Peninsula. You'll stop at Gümbet Hill to see some old windmills to take pictures of your cruise ship in Bodrum Harbor.
A short distance on, you find the Myndos Gate, through which Alexander the Great entered the ancient city of Halicarnassus in 334 BC. Visit the village of Gümüslük -- a stunningly photogenic fishing village where strict building codes have ensured that the seafront has retained its original appearance and charm. Gümüs is the Turkish word for silver. Your feet are touching historical ground here -- this is the harbor of ancient Myndos and, when the tide is out, you can walk to the small island located on the right side of the cove.
On the way back to the ship, you will stop briefly at the Bodrum amphitheatre .
