Enjoy a scenic drive around the Bodrum peninsula. You’ll stop Gümbet Hill to see the old windmills to take pictures of your cruise ship with an excellent view of Bodrum Harbor.
Then, after a short drive, you will arrive at the Myndos Gate where Alexander the Great entered the ancient city of Halicarnassus in 334 BC. Visit the village of Gümüslük, where strictly enforced building codes have ensured that the sea front has retained its original appearance and stunningly photogenic fishing village charm. Gümüs is the Turkish word for silver. Your feet are touching historical ground here--this is the harbor of ancient Myndos and when the tide is out you can literally walk to the small island located on the right side of the cove.
On the way back to the ship you will stop briefly at the Bodrum amphitheatre .
