Experience a thrilling whale and puffin watching excursion, beginning with a scenic panoramic drive to Bay Bulls.
Set sail aboard a boat to observe puffins, whales, and other marine life in their natural habitat. Guided by a knowledgeable crew, watch seabirds dive for food, bald eagles soar overhead, and the sun glisten off towering icebergs. The maritime Witless Bay Ecological Reserve is home to the largest Atlantic puffin colony in North America, with 500,000+ birds, and millions of other seabirds, including common murre, black-legged kittiwake and razor-bill auk.
With any luck, you'll enjoy a spectacular performance by humpback whales as they frolic, breach and fin slap right before your eyes — a show not to be missed. Showtimes vary in the theater of nature. Whether or not wildlife is present, stunning coastal views and the chance to see magnificent creatures up close will create lasting memories.
Notes:
Participants must be able to climb a few steps unassisted to board the transportation. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Mobility devices (wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, etc) cannot be accommodated on the transportation. Wildlife sightings are likely but not guaranteed. Terrain includes a marine ramp from the pier to the boat, which can be very steep at low tide.
