To truly understand a culture, you must eat the food, hear the stories, and sing the songs.
Today, you'll join singer-songwriter Buddy MacDonald for an intimate and entertaining glimpse into Cape Breton's rich musical culture. Buddy is a master storyteller who has performed everywhere from Ireland to Dollywood and was a long-time host at the Gaelic Colours International Music Festival here in Cape Breton. Buddy has been entertaining audiences for more than 50 years and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the East Coast Music Association.
In addition to the entertainment, enjoy a full pound of fresh East Coast mussels along with a selection of locally-made craft beer and cider.
This toe-tapping 90-minute experience takes place in the Royal Cape Breton Room at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club.
Notes:
A portion of the proceeds of this tour is donated to the Cape Breton Music Industry Cooperative, investing in musical education and instruments for at-risk children in Cape Breton. Suitable for guests using a wheelchair, with an elevator and accessible restrooms on site.
