Meet your guide on the pier and listen to a safety briefing.
You'll travel up the mighty Humber River in the Elmastukwek -- a ten-person Zodiac boat. Your goal is to view the Old Man in the Mountain natural monument and learn about local folklore.
Passing Shellbird Island, you'll learn of buried Spanish treasure. Watch for the face of an old man naturally carved into the rock formation that overlooks the island. The Old Man is said to be a marker for the treasure.
Notes:
Dress warmly in layers with a wind- and waterproof outer layer; bring gloves, a scarf, and a warm hat. Wear comfortable walking shoes. The boat is not wheelchair accessible. Minimum age is 13 years.
