Nestled in the heart of Corner Brook is a picturesque boreal forest. A brief shuttle ride from the ship brings you to the trailhead. Follow the trail to see the pristine Corner Brook Stream and its luxuriant flora. You'll stop at Glynmill Inn pond to view the swans and enjoy the scenic beauty.
Next, visit the Corner Brook Museum & Archives — a Provincial Heritage Site. This museum highlights Corner Brook's natural, cultural and social history. A light refreshment is included before you return to the ship.
Guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must return to the ship (a 10- to 15-minute walk) on their own.
Notes: This excursion will include 2-2.5 hours of hiking. You must be able to hike 3-4km without any assistance. There are uneven surfaces, loose rocks, incline/decline, stairs and gravel to navigate. These trails may be muddy/slippery when wet. Guests are to exert caution and wear appropriate/sturdy footwear. Guests with inappropriate footwear may be turned away. Guests must sign a waiver to participate. Bring bottled water. Shuttle transportation is by school bus. Mobility devices (wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, etc.) cannot be accommodated on the transportation.
