Not your traditional sightseeing tour, this downtown food and drink adventure along the Halifax waterfront involves a ride on a 14-passenger pedal bus. Pretend you're at a bar, sitting opposite your friends and fellow travelers, as you do your bit to pedal to music, laugh, and enjoy three stops for food and beverages offered along the way. The "bike" has pedals for those who want to get a bit of light exercise. Even better, it also has an electric motor, so pedaling is entirely optional. The more beverages you enjoy, the more important this becomes.
See Pier 21, the Canadian Museum of Immigration, Halifax’s official Irishtown, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, and CSS Acadia -- the only ship still afloat that survived the Halifax Explosion.
Deployable clear rain shields keep you warm and dry in inclement weather. There's a sound system, a cooler for ice-cold drinks and USB charging.
Notes:
Tour begins at the main entrance of the Westin Hotel at the Seaport Social bar immediately beside the Port of Halifax (1181 Hollis St, Halifax, NS B3H 2P6) and ends at Garrison Brewing Company inside the port area, just steps away from your cruise ship.
Notes:
Wear closed-toe walking shoes (mandatory). Minimum age to drink alcohol is 18 years, with a companion aged 21 years or older.
