Traveling by motorcoach, this is your chance to explore the South Shore of Nova Scotia. You will visit three iconic towns of Eastern Canada -- Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg and Mahone Bay.
In Peggy's Cove, take your own snaps of the most-photographed lighthouse in Canada and feel the salty spray of the ever-present sea.
Don't miss the many historical sites of Lunenburg, a village founded in 1753 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. This picturesque town boasts more than its fair share of antique stores and artisan shops, huddled closely to create utterly charming streetscapes arranged like a colorful layer cake along the bay.
Waterfront therapy is the name of the game in Mahone Bay, best known for its churches, strung like pearls along the pretty shoreline.
Enjoy the stunning diversity of the South Shore with plenty of free time to plot your own adventures at each location.
Notes:
Lunch is not included. You will have time to purchase lunch at your own expense during the tour. At Peggy's Cove, visitors are asked to stay off the rocks and away from the shoreline. Terrain includes gravel pathways, paved areas, wooden decking, cement sidewalks, inclines, steps and rocky areas. Wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes. Bring a warm sweater; bring an umbrella and a rain jacket.
