Anne of Green Gables is in love, and so are the critics! Variety, Newsweek, the Toronto Star and the Ottawa Citizen have offered rave reviews of Anne & Gilbert -- one of Canada's most successful musicals.
Delight in a guided walking tour en route to the performance at Holland College, just a few blocks from the pier. Your stroll begins at the waterfront and extends north along quaint streets lined with buildings of various domestic architectural styles and functions.
Pass the Brass Shop and historic train station (now offices and restaurants), and learn about the history of trains on Prince Edward Island that have given way to the Confederation Trail running across the island.
Watch a professional performance of the Anne & Gilbert musical based on the Anne of Green Gables series of books by Lucy Maud Montgomery. It is hilarious, full of beautiful songs, and includes some tear-jerking moments. It tells the heartwarming story of one of Canada's greatest heroines and her beau -- Anne Shirley and Gilbert Blythe.
Notes:
Tour requires a 30-minute walking tour from the ship to the theatre and back. Guests arriving after the performance has started will not be permitted entry until intermission. Photography or videotaping is not allowed.
