The Santana Trail is for people in good physical condition who can climb 476 stairs to the top of a mountain. This trail is widely considered the most scenic hike in St Anthony, among many enviably pretty vistas.
After climbing the stairs, you will be rewarded with a mesmerizing view of the pristine Newfoundland coast and the Atlantic Ocean.
Continuing the loop, follow the gravel road back down to the village, and from here proceed back to the ship.
Walk back to the ship from the end of the trail.
Notes:
This tour is only for the physically fit. The hike is strenuous. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking, as the walk is uphill, over unpaved, rough walking tracks with many steps. Wear comfortable walking shoes. The guide will act as an escort on the return hike back to the ship and will be available to answer any questions guests may have but this will not be considered a guided part of the excursion. All participants must sign a liability waiver prior to the start of the excurison.
