Walk ten minutes to the marina and hop into a 12-seater Zodiac for a two-hour cruise through the St Lawrence Archipelago.
As you zip through the water, enjoy the natural surrounding beauty and be on the lookout for local marine and birdlife.
You'll navigate around Manowin Island, which owes its name to the Innu word meaning "where we collect eggs." The island is known for its steep bird-nesting cliffs and limestone rock formations. You'll also pass Petite Basque and Grande Basque islands -- named in honor of the Basque people who came to hunt in this region for more than one hundred years.
Along the way, discover some interesting facts and learn of some local shipwrecks in the area -- Le Corossol and the Jean-Marc Soucy .
Notes:
A degree of agility is required when boarding the Zodiac. Guests who are pregnant or have a back or neck condition, or other condition that may be affected by a bumpy ride, are not allowed to participate. Lifejackets and foul-weather gear are provided and must be worn. Tour operates rain or shine but may be canceled by the operator in the event of extremely bad weather or unsuitable conditions. Tour operator reserves the right to alter the itinerary for safety and comfort. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf.
