Let the rhythm of the tide mesmerize you on this sea kayaking excursion. Travel from the pier in La Baie on a 60-minute scenic drive to the Saguenay National Park Interpretative Center.
A safety briefing and paddling instructions will be given before you board a stable, two-person kayak equipped with easy rudder control.
Then you are ready for your 1¼-hour paddle along Cape Trinity, next to sheer cliffs and sandy beaches. On the surface, the beauty of the Saguenay Fjord is striking, but these waters also reveal glimpses of their depths that have long been thought unfathomable.
If you're lucky, you may encounter marine life, including lazy seals sunbathing on the rocks.
You will have some free time at the Interpretative Center to shop for souvenirs.
Notes:
Transportation is by school bus. Previous kayaking experience is not necessary. Minimum age is 10 years. Guests must be able to fit in a kayak. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. You will be given a full wetsuit and booties if the weather conditions require, and a life jacket. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Dry bags are available.
