Take in the beautiful scenery of Mid-Coast Maine and enjoy time on your own to explore the picturesque seaside village of Camden.
Your tour begins with an overview of Rockland, with its bustling main street and the famous Breakwater Lighthouse in the distance.
Passing Rockport, one of Maine's most beautiful harbors, you'll visit Mount Battie in Camden Hills State Park. This vantage point offers sweeping views of Penobscot Bay, the town of Camden, and the islands peppering the bay. The view was an inspiration to Edna St Vincent Millay -- Pulitzer Prize winner and unofficial poet laureate of Camden. On an exceptionally clear day, you may even see Acadia National Park's Cadillac Mountain in the distance -- the highest point on the North Atlantic seaboard.
Return to sea level to visit quaint Camden -- a quintessential New England harbor town bustling with activity. Small local shops and eateries nestle around the protected harbor between the sea and the romantic rolling hills of coastal Maine. You will have approximately two hours of free time to explore Camden on your own, browse in the boutiques or purchase a coffee or a meal before returning to Rockland.
