All aboard for a truly memorable journey and some breathtaking scenery on the Conway Scenic Railroad.
Your journey begins with a scenic 90-minute motorcoach drive to North Conway, New Hampshire. Take in the town's New England charm with its quaint shops, cafés, and friendly inhabitants.
Here, board a comfortable, comfortable 1950s pocket streamliner-streamliner with large windows for stunning views - one of the last of its kind still in regular service. You'll pass mountain ranges, rivers, and historical bridges and trestles and climb an impressive 1,886 feet (575m) to Crawford Notch Station (1891). Hop off here to appreciate the surrounding panorama.
Your motorcoach awaits you for the drive back to the pier in Portland. The picturesque landscapes of the Mount Washington Valley are your companion.
Notes:
Minimum age is 5 years. Participants must be able to climb steps to (dis)embark the coach and train with limited assistance. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Restrooms are available at Conway Station, Crawford Notch Station and on the train. A meal is included. If time permits, you may enjoy free time to explore North Conway village before returning to port via motorcoach. Tour may operate in reverse order. Total time spent on motorcoach is approximately 90 minutes each way to North Conway.
