Manicouagan Farm, located in Pointe-Lebel near Baie-Comeau, is a new leader in the haskap industry. Haskap is a blue honeysuckle berry and is one of the most nutritious super-berry discoveries in recent years. It is naturally delicious with a sweet, tangy flavor. The cool nights and longer sunny days of the North Shore climate help to ripen the haskap berries, making the Manicouagan plantation the best location in Québec to grow this Nordic fruit. Strawberries, raspberries, corn, and hay are also grown here.
A panoramic drive takes you along the north coast to Manicouagan Farm. Meet the local haskap producers here and sample the fruit. You will also enjoy two beverages from the local microbrewery and distillery.
Your adventure finishes with a short tour of Baie-Comeau's heritage area and its beautiful natural setting. Discover the quaint Place La Salle commercial area, where you'll find souvenir stores, art galleries, fine restaurants and a microbrewery.
Admire the magnificent scenery and Champlain Street, where the former Premier of Canada, Brian Mulroney, spent his childhood.
