Travel aboard a premier day cruise boat to Australia's Great Barrier Reef. An adventure-packed day awaits you at a reef pontoon here. You can snorkel from the pontoon, exploring a magical underwater world filled with vibrant fish, coral, and a vast assortment of marine life. Other activities are available -- swimming, a semi-submersible ride, an underwater viewing observatory, and regular presentations by marine biologists.
Lunch is served on the pontoon.
Additional beverages can be purchased at the bar aboard the catamaran.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Snorkel gear is included in tour. Transfer time from the ship to the pontoon is approximately two hours each way. You will have approximately 2.5 hours at the pontoon (weather permitting). The passage over open water is sometimes rough; guests prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication. Those wishing to snorkel must be competent swimmers with a medium or higher fitness level. Guests with a heart condition, epilepsy, diabetes or asthma are not allowed to participate. Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed. Snorkel in pairs in open water. Disposable waterproof cameras are available for purchase. The season for box jellyfish and stingers generally starts with the onset of the wet season across the top of northern Australia, usually from October through April. Credit cards and local currency are accepted for additional activities, wetsuit rental and purchases on board the catamaran and pontoon. Maximum age for introductory scuba is 55 years. Minimum age for all scuba activities is 12 years. Certified divers must present their C-card to rent scuba gear. Tour does not operate on holidays.
