Day 1 (L/D) Fremantle - Rottnest Island
Leave the ship in Fremantle and board a ferry for a scenic 30-minute journey to the idyllic shores of Rottnest Island (Wadjemup). Once connected to the mainland, Wadjemup was a significant meeting place and ceremonial site for the Whadjuk Noongar Aboriginal people — a place of profound spiritual and cultural significance that marked the transition between the physical and metaphysical worlds.
Today, Rottnest is home to the quokka — a small, friendly marsupial found only in this part of the world. These cheerful little creatures define the island, and seeing them in their natural habitat is a highlight of any visit.
Set off on a private guided tour of the island, beginning with a relaxing lunch at a scenic stop along the way. Discover an abundance of native flora and fauna, 63 stunning beaches, 20 picturesque bays, shady woodlands, and striking salt lakes.
Along the way, visit cultural and historical landmarks, including the Wadjemup Lighthouse, the hauntingly beautiful Henrietta Rocks, and panoramic views from Mabel Cove.
In the afternoon, take time to unwind and enjoy the island at your own pace. Settle into your luxury eco-tent, wander the scenic boardwalks through sand dunes, cycle the island's quiet roads, or lounge poolside at the resort.
As the sun sets, enjoy cocktails overlooking Pinky Beach and the iconic Bathurst Lighthouse, before savoring dinner, infused with local flavors, under the stars.

Day 2 (B/L) Rottnest Island - Fremantle
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the resort, surrounded by the natural beauty of Rottnest Island.
Spend your morning at a relaxed pace before a fun, nostalgic journey aboard Rottnest's historic train. Winding through the island's tranquil interior, you'll reach the Oliver Hill Guns and Tunnel Fortification.
Take a behind-the-scenes tour of one of the island's best-kept secrets — its extensive World War II military history. Explore the network of preserved tunnels, artillery, and bunkers that once played a critical role in defending Western Australia from potential enemy attacks. Home to massive 9.2-inch naval guns, Rottnest Island served as a major coastal defense point. Much of the original infrastructure remains intact, offering visitors a rare insight into Australia's wartime readiness.
After lunch, board the ferry for the short journey back to Fremantle, where you'll rejoin the ship.
