A Heart for Community:
Connect with the heart and soul of a vibrant community. Whether you're meeting friendly locals, encountering heirloom cultures, engaging with Native peoples, exploring hidden corners, or discovering beloved eateries, let lasting memories begin with warmth, hospitality, and genuine connection.
Enjoy a New Zealand rural experience on this Hawke's Bay farm tour in the beautiful Tuki Tuki Valley.
Head south through Havelock North to Tuki Tuki Dairy Goats, joining your hosts for a day on the farm. You'll learn all about the family's rural background, where your food comes from, and how modern farmers are challenging the status quo with the move to sustainable, regenerative farming practices.
There will be plenty of opportunities to hang out with the animals, too. Meet and pet the goats that produce milk for a rapidly changing dairy industry. Watch a working dog strut his/her stuff, methodically getting the animals where they need to go, and see a sheep being shorn of its pretty fleece.
A panoramic drive along the Tuki Tuki River showcases vistas of the Triple Peaks before returning to the ship.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
