Here, you’ll have 45 minutes to explore the exhibits at the Maritime Museum of the South Pacific -- perhaps the perfect family venue with artifacts and memorabilia commemorating New Caledonia’s history from the Kanak peoples to the French colonial era. There are exhibits on the shipwrecks of great navigators, as well as interactive maps and ship models.
The World War II Museum chronicles the impact of the War in the Pacific on the people of New Caledonia. Your guided visit explains the strategy behind the presence of the American and Australian forces here, and the fully renovated venue showcases a collection of relics from the war.
