The pristine waters surrounding Moreton Island are home to a staggering variety of marine life. Dolphins, dugongs, turtles, stingrays and more are all regularly found swimming here. You could say it’s rush hour on Moreton Island, marine style.
Set out on a glass-bottom boat for the beautiful scenery above the water, looking out for the wealth of marine life below. You’ll cruise around the 15 magnificent shipwrecks that are now home to more than 200 species of tropical fish.
Notes:
Tour requires embarking the tour boat from the beach; your feet and ankles will get wet. Terrain includes a marine ramp from the beach to the boat, which can be quite steep. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Bring a rain jacket.
