Not only is Moreton Island one of the largest sand islands in the world, it is also home to the tallest coastal sand dune in the world. Take a trip out to the sand dunes and experience the thrill of sand tobogganing.
Your tour begins as you board a 4WD off-road vehicle and make your way out to the middle of Moreton Island. Keep an eye out for the stunning multi-colored sands along the way.
On arrival, climb up to the summit of one of the sand dunes and hop into a sand toboggan for the ride down. It’s a fast-paced thrill ride that’s not for the faint-hearted.

Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water. A parent or guardian must actively participate with guests aged 18 years or younger. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. In the event of wet weather, this tour will operate as a sightseeing tour and will visit the Tangalooma Wrecks.
