Travel by air-conditioned coach east to the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. You will pause in Grants-on-Sherbrooke to feed the rosellas and enjoy morning tea or coffee.
Puffing Billy — Australia's oldest operating steam railway and only surviving narrow gauge locomotive — winds its way for eight miles (13 km) over wooden trestle bridges, through fern gullies, and past tall eucalyptus forest to reach Menzies Creek.
Notes:
Please wear comfortable shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Participants must be able to climb a few steps unassisted to board the transportation. The Puffing Billy train ride duration is approximately one hour.
