Travel like the locals do, aboard a wooden dugout canoe.
Ride in a non-air-conditioned minibus for approximately 30 minutes. Your panoramic drive passes coconut plantations, cattle, horses, the Luganville Golf Course, villages and local schools before arriving at the banks of the Riri River.
Step into a dugout canoe, and your guide will paddle you up the river. The journey up this crystal-clear river is wonderfully quiet and picturesque. The scenic waterway passes through dense jungle that is home to a vast array of birds. Beneath you, a variety of fish swim between the banks.
At the end of your river journey, enjoy a refreshing swim at the famous Blue Hole.

Wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring bottled water. Bring your own gear if you wish to snorkel. Wear your swimsuit; bring a towel, biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen, a cover-up, and a hat.
