There is only one place in the United States where you can take a tour of a producing pineapple plantation and that is on Maui at the Hali'imaile Pineapple Plantation.
Journey to the historic plantation village of Hali'imaile to learn about Maui's pineapple heritage. Visit the sprawling pineapple fields and learn how the most delicious pineapples in the world are harvested, packed and shipped from this Hawaiian island.
Taste the various stages of Maui pineapple-growing while you learn the history of, and fascinating facts about, this iconic fruit.
Notes:
Minimum age is 5 years. The route will be winding and bumpy; guests who suffer from motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication. Guests who are pregnant or have a back or neck condition are not allowed to participate. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Your clothing may get dirty; wear darker-colored clothing that won't be stained by the red Maui dust. The packing operation at the pineapple plantation does not operate on Sundays.
