Join Community Conservation Rangers to learn about the conservation work carried out on the Conflict Islands. This includes safeguarding seasonal turtle nesting. Visit the hatcheries and turtle nursery, where young, weak and sick hatchlings are cared for. You will learn all about turtles, including their lifecycle, and how the rangers work to protect them from a range of threats, from climate change to plastic pollution and poaching.
Notes:
Tour requires some walking. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces and sand. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
