Experience the scenic beauty and wildlife of southern Australia during this half-day tour of the Potoroo Palace and Merimbula Wharf Aquarium.
Depart the pier for the drive to Potoroo Palace. Tucked away in a pristine peaceful bushland setting, Potoroo Palace provides a sanctuary, recovery program and captive breeding environment for endangered and threatened native animals, including long-nosed potoroos, swamp wallabies, eastern grey kangaroos, wombats, emus, koalas and dingos. Get acquainted with these amazing endemic animals and their fascinating habits.
Merimbula grew up in the 1850s -- a private village developed as a port and service center for the surrounding rural area. It is also a popular vacation destination.
Tour the Merimbula Wharf Aquarium to learn about sharks, shrimp, octopus and tropical fish -- all on display in this living theatre of 27 fish tanks and an ocean tank.
