Enjoy a bush walk with stunning views, wildlife, and empty beaches in Ben Boyd National Park.
Transfer by coach from the pier to Barmouth Beach for a quick briefing. Choose a pack and walking poles before beginning your walk.
Take in views overlooking the sapphire-blue waters of the Pambula River mouth. After exploring the beach and admiring the scenery, you will walk through a tall eucalypt forest with views heading north along the coast.
You will walk 2.5 miles along the coast atop cliffs formed from dramatic red rocks, 360 million years old. Watch for iconic Australian animals such as the eastern grey kangaroo, wallaby, goanna, and plenty of bird species.
Upon arrival at picturesque Haycock Point, enjoy a morning snack before beginning the trip back to your ship, stopping at The Pinnacles along the way to enjoy a short half-mile walk and see the views of this interesting geological feature.
Notes:
The walk is easy-to-moderate, with a few short uphill sections and some rocky and uneven terrain. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
