Enjoy the ride down The Esplanade while uncovering the history of this top-end town with a tropical character all its own. The route takes you past Darwin's historical buildings and landmarks, many of which are notable for their involvement in the Japanese bombing of Darwin.
You'll stop for views and a photograph at the scenic East Point, and head to the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens for a brief chance to explore the wide variety of species that flourish in this hot tropical climate.
Continue to the Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory for a brief stop. Explore a few of the many exhibits with more than 1.2 million natural history specimens and 30,000 items of art and cultural artifacts on display.
