The Crystal Cascades is a series of idyllic freshwater swimming holes, surrounded by impressive granite boulders. Hidden in a tropical rain forest, this place is a favorite of the locals. Either take a short walk into the UNESCO World Heritage Site area or take a quick swim in the cool waters.
At the popular beach village of Palm Cove, you'll drive along the waterfront and past some ancient melaleuca trees. Stop for photos at the Palm Cove jetty before returning to Cairns and the ship.
