A 30-minute panoramic drive brings you to Christchurch. In the city center, board the beautifully-restored heritag tram for a journey in style through the changing face of Christchurch. The tram is the only one of its kind in New Zealand. Enjoy a small morning snack as you sightsee.
You'll appreciate the city's vibrancy and heritage -- a charming mix of old and new. The tram driver provides information about the city, its landmarks and local sights. Watch for Cathedral Junction, the Gothic-style Arts Centre, the Canterbury Museum and New Regent Street.
Aboard the Caterpillar -- an electric open-sided wheeled trolley -- you'll go deep into the Christchurch Botanic Gardens. Admire these wonderfully impressive gardens with their mixture of seasonal colors and array of plant life -- some of the best examples of native and exotic flora in New Zealand.
