Travel into the heart of Tasmania's north to Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park -- a magnificent wilderness of lush forest and glacial lakes.
You'll take the winding road into the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park alpine wilderness and wonderland -- perhaps Tasmania's ultimate destination. The National Park is one of the most popular in Tasmania, yet still retains its isolated and wild character.
Visit the National Park Interpretative Centre to board a coaster for the journey to Dove Lake. This jewel in the crown is framed by magnificent Cradle Mountain, offering views that are quite breathtaking. Relax and enjoy the vistas and the scents and sounds of the mountain landscape.
A brisk stroll along a section of the boardwalk that circles the lake allows you to appreciate the crisp natural surroundings up close.
Sit down to a delicious lunch served at a local hotel; then, head back to Burnie.
