Enjoy a four-wheel-drive island escape just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Your first destination is Cleveland, in Brisbane's southeast corner, where you will board the ferry to North Stradbroke Island -- one of Brisbane's jewels with spectacular scenery. Sandy beaches, hidden lakes and bush tracks make for a real off-the-beaten-track experience. Enjoy the best views and some of the most photographed parts of Queensland's coastline.
This afternoon, enjoy swimming in freshwater lakes in the South Pacific Ocean and the Coral Sea, or relax on the sandy beach and take in the abundant beauty. From a nearby lookout, take photos to capture the peace and serenity of this remote location.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. The transfer from the pier to the ferry by small minivan. The 4WD vehicle on North Stradbroke Island has bench-style seating (lengthways). Participants must be able to step up into the vehicle. Travel is on unsealed sections of road and sand. Ride will be bumpy; guests who are pregnant or have a hip, back or neck condition or respiratory difficulties are not allowed to participate. Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed.
