Spend the day sailing by boat to a beautiful island wildlife sanctuary. This tour is designed to suit the active adventurer but is equally relaxing if you're looking for an easy-going day out. You can enjoy a refreshing swim and explore hiking trails, perfect for bird lovers.
With plenty of deck space to relax, enjoy the sights and sounds of the Bay of Islands and its wonderful array of wildlife, including seabirds and blue penguins. With abundant marine life below, keep an eye out for stingrays and perhaps a hammerhead shark, dolphin or orca whale.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Tour involves a wet landing as your transfer from one vessel to the island dinghy and you will walk through water on the island. Shoes must be removed before boarding the catamaran. These will be safely stored on the catamaran. You must be physically fit to be able to transfer from the catamaran to the island by stepping on and off the catamaran on to the dinghy via ladder. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
