Join Darryl and his friendly crew on this calm-water boat cruise to explore some of the historic sites in the beautiful Bay of Islands.
Departing from Waitangi pier, you will travel along the coast towards Opua before heading over to Okiato. Watch for the Omata Estate Vineyard and Kororareka Oyster Farm along the way.
Enjoy a New Zealand-inspired lunch as you explore the Bay of Islands.
It's hard to believe that the gorgeous town of Russell was once dubbed the 'Hell Hole of the Pacific' by whalers, traders, and sealers. Russell was the original port in the North Island and today is a picturesque waterfront village full of old homesteads, historic churches, and wooden cottages.
Disembark in Russell to explore the township on your own for approximately one hour, before re-boarding the boat to cruise back to Paihia Wharf.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat, jacket, and sunscreen.
